McMaster Welcomes Canadian Ministers of Health and Seniors to Discuss the Antibiotic Resistance Crisis

The IIDR welcomed the Hon. Ginette Petitpas Taylor (Canadian Minister of Health) and the Hon. Filomena Tassi (Canadian Minister of Seniors) yesterday to talk about the pressing issue of antimicrobial resistance (AMR). Pathology and Molecular Medicine Professor Dr. Lori Burrows led the team on a tour of McMaster’s world-class science facilities to highlight the IIDR’s innovative research initiatives and to express how academia, government, and industry must work together to solve the global problem.
