In one of the largest ancient population studies to date, IIDR principal investigator Dr. Hendrik Poinar and post-doctorate fellow Ana Duggan of McMaster University sequence DNA from Beothuk, Maritime Archaic, and Paleo-Eskimo remains to better understand the compelling population dynamics between the lost indigenous peoples of Newfoundland and Labrador.
