Dr. John Whitney Receives eLife Early-Career Researcher Travel Grant
Congratulations to the IIDR’s Dr. John Whitney on being selected as one of seven early-career researchers to receive a travel grant from the eLife travel grant programme.
In this first round of funding, eLife Senior Editors chose seven applicants to receive travel grants amongst 30 applications of a very high standard, from across the life sciences disciplines and ranging from basic science to translational research.
The eLife travel grant programme offers up to $1000 to help recipients like John gain exposure and recognition for their work. With this grant, Dr. Whitney will travel from McMaster University to the Gordon Research Conference on Microbial Stress Response in South Hadley, MA, USA, to talk about the discovery and mode of action of protein toxins involved in interbacterial competition.
Congrats, John!
