The Centre for Microbial Chemical Biology (CMCB) Learn More

This 7,000-square-foot multi-user lab has experienced staff and over 65 specialized equipment items, enabling chemical biology research to be conducted in one central location. The CMCB is a Biosafety Level-2 facility that has the capabilities necessary for cell culture, assay development, high throughput screening, small molecule synthesis, natural product isolation, metabolomics, molecule identification for drug discovery, and more.

The David Braley Centre for Antibiotic Discovery Learn More

The David Braley Centre for Antibiotic Discovery is equipped to lead in international efforts against AMR. The expansive multi-user laboratory includes Canada’s first antimicrobial drug discovery facility, largest university-based compound library, a newly-renovated BSL3 containment lab for the study of deadly human pathogens, a variety of animal models, platforms for testing drug-resistant bacteria, and a unique bioinformatic tool.

The Boris Family Medicinal Chemistry Laboratory Learn More

The Boris Family Medicinal Chemistry Laboratory is a state-of-the-art synthetic chemistry research facility. Powered by a team of research staff scientists, graduate students, and undergraduates with expertise in synthetic and medicinal chemistry, this lab pursues strategic interdisciplinary research partnerships with biomedical scientists at McMaster to enable the discovery and development of new small molecule drug candidates.
