The CMCB is a Biosafety Level-2 facility that has the capabilities necessary for cell culture, assay development, high throughput screening, small molecule synthesis, natural product isolation, metabolomics, molecule identification for drug discovery, and more.

The David Braley Centre for Antibiotic Discovery is equipped to lead in international efforts against AMR. The expansive multi-user laboratory includes Canada’s first antimicrobial drug discovery facility, largest university-based compound library, a newly-renovated BSL3 containment lab for the study of deadly human pathogens, a variety of animal models, platforms for testing drug-resistant bacteria, and a unique bioinformatic tool.
