Gerry Wright is a Distinguished University Professor at McMaster University. He is Co-founder of the Canadian Anti-Infective Innovation Network (CAIN) and is recognized as a go-to infectious disease and AMR expert, having contributed to over 250 peer-reviewed publications throughout the course of his career. At McMaster, Gerry’s research team investigates the molecular mechanisms, diversity, and evolution of bacterial resistance and antibiotic biosynthesis with the goal of discovering novel antibiotics and antibiotic alternatives.
